I am sick to death of irresponsible owners not picking up the fricking dogs crap! I all ways pick our dogs poop up regardless of size but its every where we go walking and dog owners are so blaze about the issue! i have a toddler who when tired or over excited tends to fall or trip as shes not looking where shes going and with these poo bombs you can imagine the inevitable has happened. just so annoyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too! Many, many years ago a neighbour would walk his dog every evening and it was so regular that it always messed outside my house. Speaking to the guy brought nothing but abuse. One night I`d had enough so I scooped the mess into a large paper bag, put it on his doorstep, set fire to it and rang the doorbell. I defy anyone not to stamp on a burning bag on their doorstep.

Now thats a good idea considering i know its my neighbours dog crap! They walk three dogs and never pick up after, also outside the local primary is littered with dog crap sprite likes to poop there too but i allways scoop!
Oh yesssss! Mr Frog is a gardener and the number of times he's come home complaining about dogs.... Or not so much dogs, but their anti-social owners. You know the expression about the Sugar hitting the fan - well in his case it's hitting the lawnmower. Not a pretty sight. The dogs aren't to blame, it's just their stupid, irresponsible humans.
Hi , this drives me completely up the pole too. I am responsible and pick up after my dog , where I walk there are a lot of owners who don't and it is disgusting. The other thing I have huge issues with is that I live on the Isle of Wight right on the beach and during spring and summer my dog is banished to make way for tourism. If more owners behaved responsibly we may stand a chance of using the beach all year round.
Glad to see someone complaining about it at last. I go for a walk every morning to keep myself as fit as possible and it is a matter of eyes down and dodge the dog's poop all the way. I would like to be able to see a bit of the place I am walking but if I took my eyes away from the street it would be very difficult not to step in it. It is supposed to be the law that people pick up their dog's poop but it is certainly not being enforced around here.
One of the few culture improvements in this country since I've been around is the lack of tolerance for dog mess; it was actually seen as acceptable when I was a young lad. But you are correct, some owners seem to think it isn't their responsibility and it's just tough luck on others. That they have a right to allow their pet to go anywhere. There's no accounting for other folk.
I am not a dog owner, but love them, cannot understand as a foot passenger, how much is underfoot on a daily basis
Yes, you are right OG. Many's the time I have had to wash off my shoes when I was young. But then horses would leave their dung in the roads as well. My father would rush out with a bucket and shovel - good manure especially for the rhubarb.
I too am sick to death of people who don't pick up after their dogs as they get us all a bad name. If I see anyone ignoring it I offer them one of my poo bags. Some stride through the park on their mobile phones and don't even look to see what their dogs are doing - on purpose I bet. There is also an old boy I see struggling along with his even older dog and he never picks up but I don't think he could if he tried.

dont get me started on beaches it upset me that we cant allways take him onto one, we are trying to teach him to swim but ponds and lakes remind him of bath time lol
Brighton & Hove is good. There are certain beaches you can take your dog on all year round. I've never seen any dog poo on but that's the Hove end. Can't speak for Brighton end of the beach. Oops hope JJ's not about.
Our local park s known as dog Sugar park even tough there are pooh bins at every exit, no bloody excuse not to pick up.
My parents have this problem outside their home. Even when it's picked up, there is still residue left behind.
Yep, really annoys me too. The other day there was a huge pile outside my kids school gate, what is wrong with people. In Exmouth there are posters along the seafront that say there's no such thing as the dog poo fairy. The poo pins are often overflowing, but there is still plenty more to be picked up. There ought to be a few more prosecutions and then a few more might do the decent thing.
Dog poop is something that really sticks in your craw.
I agree with Beane, instead of banning dogs from certain areas, penalising those of us who do pick up, councils should concentrate on prosecuting the offenders. Get a few hefty fines reported in the local papers and people might just remember to put a bag in their pocket.
However, it can be amusing to watch the antics of people 'pretending' to pick up because someone is watching. I've even seen a woman take a bag out and bend over the poo but not actually pick up! What's that all about?
Wouldn't it be easier to put your dog in a kind of nappy when you take him/her for a walk?

That would solve the problem for everybody!
@madmaggott- i used to do that all the time when walking my parents dogs!! Ill tell you what that was all about.......the texture is bad but by god the smell horrific!!
@trt- what a great idea.Lets go into the doggy nappies business Together!
Oh I know how you feel! There's a sidewalk that leads to middle scool where I walk my dogs and when a walked in the sidewalk there was dog poop all smeared and it was HUGE SO irresponsilbe! I also pick up the dog poop, who cares about the size! If I don't have a bag with me I go back and pick it up!
