We used to have two females. They basically ignored each other.
boxy.....i can't help being "one of a hellaver guy"

Holiday makers feed the cats, then bugger off......the cats are then fine until the end of the season and then, no food.
Yep I am trying to picture sqad feeding 80 hungry cats.

When we got the ragdoll she was 13 week old, some people are letting them go at 8 week is that too young? xx
I am always impresssed when we go on holiday to the Spanish countries, that good folk look after the stray cats.
The answer seems to be mass sterilization......we raise money for the local vet who sterilizes them on the cheap and in the summer a German vet brings students over for practicing sterilization and doe this without charge.
Good plan, what a good idea.
Very good idea sqad.
I never really see many cats in Menorca so they must be doing a good job sqad, now the Canaries are swarming with them.
8 weeks is fine Kat.

We got our cat at what we thought was 8 weeks...turned out he was only 6 weeks and now has a real attachment to me.
Well stop being so catty ummmm, lol.

Thank you, it sounds so young and there so tiny. xx
Blimey I wouldn't like anybody practising sterilisation on me!
ladybird...........it is not THAT a difficult a procedure.......
sqad, these 80 cats do they all have idividual feeding bowls or is it a free for all ie one big feeding trough ?.
not at present, but at one stage we had 4 cats, two of each sex but all neutered, plus 3 dogs, again mixed and all co-existed very happily [ and this was in suburbia ] I think we must have been nuts !!
We have 4 females and 3 males (all neutered of course) and a dog. They all get along fine together.
Ragdolls are a very laid back gentle breed so you should be ok... I've had mixed feline households... so long as the boys know the girls are in charge there are no problems...
I have 8 rescue cats and 2 rescue dogs from malta. 4 females, 4 males. When I brought them home I brought 12 cats to live with my Mum and I. My Mum had 2 cats aged 13 yrs. Mum's cats had never had other cats and certainly not dogs in the house before. Within a month all was well and everyone gets along, there was never any real fighting, bit of hissing, flouncing off that is all. Boy or girl you should be ok. Ragdolls are so utterly gorgeous .
