Good for you webbo. Live ones of course? Mealworms, not robins:-)
Good for you, webbo. I'll have to get some waxworms. All the mealworms have gone. Never heard of waxworms.
All the birds look miserable today. What a shame.
Question Author
of course, its costing me a fortune, they love the waxworms as well but i dont put too many out as they are VERY fatty.

^ Great minds!
The more you buy the cheaper they are but it's keeping them alive that's the problem. I keep mine in the fridge and that comatose's them.
Question Author
I can virtually call them down from the garage roof and the min they see me they appera on the feeding station and start singing, they aren't quite as good as the one a few years ago thet i could feed by hand and if i wasn't out side it would flutter around by the patio window to attract my attention.

i do get them slightly cheaper ladybirder as i work in a garden centre with a pets dept so i get discount.

Dave.
Lucky you. They will eat as many as I put out. I've counted a blackbird pick up over 30 in his bill in one go last year. And that's not unusual.
Question Author
i had a semi-tame blackbird that did that, it use to get loads across its beak and still manage to chirp loudly as it flew off.

Question Author
Brilliant polly, i had a semi tame blackbird that i could call down and he would come running down the garden to fill his beak with mealworms but he wasn't as brave as yours, its amazing how trusting wild birds can be.
