Some, but not all frogs breathe through their skins underwater.  Some varieties, such as the South American Red-eyedTree Frog for example, live their entire lives in trees, so do not have this adaptation...

Frogs breathe under water through their skin. The skin also absorbs water as well as air - frogs do not drink!
