Rhino products, tiger products and bear bile plus other animal products are openly on sale in China and other eastern countries. Surely there is no place for this in our world today.

it the chinese government, and those across the world who don't do anything about this slaughter, or care seemingly. I wonder how many people in Britain are aware of this problem, not many i suspect.
they won't be happy until all the animals are gone, i cannot look at these programmes any more. Burying my head in the sand perhaps, but if governments don't take a stand, who will.
I'd echo albaqwerty' s post. It is difficult to impose one's own beliefs on others. Hopefully they will come around to the same conclusion as us in time, that to cause unnecessary suffering is morally wrong. We can not dictate what others do elsewhere in the world; the best we can do is try to keep the species going where we are and to protest at the activity whenever the opportunity presents itself.
As long as we tolerate their culture a market for the product exists and results in this type of cruelty. Still having problems getting the link to attach properly but it is completely barbaric.
It`ll go on as long as there`s money in it unfortunately. Not just China either. I was getting reflexology in Singapore and told the man I had pains in my wrists. He bandaged them up and put some ointment on the bandage. Eventually I asked him what the ointment was and he said it was bear`s bile. I couldn`t get out of there and to the nearest bin to dispose of them quick enough. He said it was harder to get it these days. Some of these countries should enforce the laws a bit more. In Singapore you get fined $1000 for importing chewing gum but you can obtain bear bile no problem.
I went into a department store in Beijing. It was in the Lufthansa center near the Kampinsky hotel, If anyone is familiar with Beijing, they had bear paws, tiger bits, dog bits, and all types of concoctions. Also went to a chinese medicine clinic. They had an amazing range of herbal products but sadly had animal products as well. When I protested about tiger products I was told "but we only kill twenty tigers a year".
You know all those fake North Face and other such jackets in Beijing with the fur around the hoods? It`s cat fur. The tourists keep on buying it though.
yes it is sold as fox. even that is unacceptable. It is more the manner in which the animals are killed and the fact that endangered animals are being killed. i also have issue with the manufacture of drugs such as premarin as well. cruelty to animals for human benefit is unacceptable. there are always other alternatives.
the lengths to which these poachers go are unbelieveable - most rangers at lodges in South Africa are very aware that 'guests' who specifically request a rhino sighting may be in with criminal gangs. These gangs come back later via helicopter, take the horn and leave in a very, very short time. Very, very difficult to trace. Often the lodges mount their own patrols but it isn't easy.
