What are these bathroom insects ?

They are black and run very fast , come out in the dark, sort of elongated teardrop shape, and if squashed are black still. Not very big.

Not earwigs they are much smaller
Unidentified insect, could be an endangered species, my oh my what shall I do ? I don't understand, therefore I'll squash it.
