cat fly trap

The fly trap that hangs on the ceiling fell down and my cat got hold of it and now covered in sticky resin, I have tried to wash it off and cut some of the sticky off but to no avail it says on the packet use mineral spirit, what is it can anyone help.

...both of which are flammable and poisonous, so you'll need to be dead careful, and wash them out immediately. Personally, I'd take the cat to a vet.

I heard that you shouldn't bath a cat, something to do with their natural oils.
Take the cat to the vet, poppy - the stuff on the fly strip is poisonous. Do it today.

thanks, taken it to the vet, the fly trap does contain all natural ingredients and they gave it a bath and the vet said it should be ok
It is dangerous to try and wash a cat in the bath - I have the scars to prove it.

poppy - it is good that the vet washed your cat - much safer for you. :-)
The sticky fly traps I hang from my ceiling are just sticky, they are non toxic. So normal grooming and hair loss should be all Tiddles needs. I get the Aeroxon traps, that's all they sell locally.
