How old is she? We currently have four cats, 2 girls and 2 boys. One of the girl cats is 12 and she still has her "moments of madness" but female cats in my experience seem to settle down much quicker than the boys. All cats love catnip (have you ever seen a cat drool?) but you could try her with some of those other cat treats, ours love Dreamies and the Felix treats. If you are worried about her being hyperactive you could try one of those Feliway diffusers that you plug into an electric socket, though in our experience it did nothing to calm the boys. Obviously though I think you would be best having a word with your vet. A lot of Ab'ers have cats and I'm sure you'll find they will also have advice for you
that's just what kittens do gordie
I have answered you on your first thread gordie and have agreed with bednobs.
It's a kitten, gordie - that's how they are. Ours used to run up the curtain then launch himself off the curtain rail. Daddy long legs are good fun for them! She won't have a heart attack, it's normal!
PS Why turn out the lights and open the windows? I don't get that bit.
Has she been neutered? Puberty can do strange things to cats (and any other animals).

This may not apply to you, depending on where you live and where you got the kitten from, but I had a friend who had a hyperactive kitten that was never still. It turned out that the poor thing was infested with harvest mites, as were its mum (owner "she's a lovely cat but a bit wild") and all the litter mates who -surprise - "take after mum" Once the mites were treated, kitten slept for a straight 36 hours and woke up a happier calmer but still playful kitten.
