My little kitty is off to the vets later for the first time in years. He's just going for a flea check but I want the vet to look at a couple of other things too.
The problem is he is a vicious little bugger and I recall the vets putting a note on his files last time that he isn't to be seen unless he's sedated.
What will they actually do? I worry about the little fella getting all stressed out.
My two act very differently at the vet. Frankie is petrified and tries to squeeze himself into a corner. His sister, Merlin, goes ballistic and lashes out at everybody. They couldn't even get a muzzle on her last time.
The vets are used to our little cute bundles of fluff turning into evil monsters.
Video the encounter and upload it to YouTube for a laugh!
I have a tablet here that I can give to scooby 2 hours before vets, He is terrified of the car and pulled most of his claws out, The tablet doesn't knock him out but he looks as though he has took to much weed for a couple of hours,I find it much less stressfull for him and us. and wares off after 4 hours,
see if your vets can suggest anything to calm him before he goes.
Eric also has a warning on his files. Next time I go to the vets I'm just leaving him in there... otherwise he uses me as a platform to launch himself at the vets/nurses eyes.
Lol, I've never heard a man yelp like that before. Although in baileys defence he was pretty good until the vet tried to poke his little eye splodge thing. Then all hell broke loose.
I had a workman in the house and I warned him not to go near the cats, especially the long haired one. He nodded and wandered into a room. He shouted through to say that there was an absolutely beautiful cat (she is) there and a few minutes later he screamed and told me that she had stuck her teeth in his hand. He was thick 'workman' gloves on - which saved him.
I warned him!
Hope Bailey is okay - Frankie cries for hours after a trip to the vet.
He has a little sort of lump under his eye. It's never bothered him but I asked the vet to look and he started squishing it. He's happy now. I live about a minute walk away from the vet so it didn't take long to get home and feed him his dinner. He won't be so happy tomorrow when he finds out he's on a diet though. *evil laugh*
So was he better behaved evian? My cat was a total out of control vicious devil at the vets when she was younger. I luckily didn't have to take her for years but now she's in her dotage she's very well behaved.
He was initially. I think the massive dog in the waiting room scared the crap out of him. Although when I got up this morning his pretty little face was covered in scratches so maybe he was still feeling a bit wound up.
eerrr, I treasure my fingers a bit too much Wolf :)
