Can anyone please help?  I recently found a frog had nested in one of our patio planters underneath an azalea, I can only presume that he likes the moisture in there, I'm quite happy for him to stay but what should I feed him, I mean what do frogs eat?, or is this just not a good idea?  He seems quite at home.

If the frog is trapped, allow it egress from the planter. There is no need for you to feed the frog, it will find plenty to eat in your garden. If you have a pond you could have the pleasure, as we have, of watching a colony establish. A fascinating cycle from spawning through to tiny frog. Then they clear off, but you'll have them back every year. Watch where you step.

This really sounds more like the behavior of a toad variety rather than a frog.  If it is a toad, he'll probably return since the conditions for him to be there in the first place seem to be ideal.  They are harmless, but will tend to draw other toads, in my experience...
I had a toad that moved into my greenhouse, it stayed for many years, it became an old friend, keeping down slugs and flies, I knew it was the same toad because it only had one eye. Enjoy your new pal.  Judy
