Cute Coffee Maker

After years of using a coffee machine as big as my sofa, I've bought one of these cute little things that takes a "pod" of coffee, and makes one cup. Okay, it uses two pods to make a latte, but you know what I mean.

It feels a bit of a cheat, but it seems quite good.

Has anyone else tried one?

I was given a Dolce Gusto machine last year and I love it. Easy to use and easy to clean. I'm no coffee expert but it tastes good to me.
Yeeees! Mrs sqad has had one for about 2 years and she loves it (and the coffee machine)
The pods are a bit expensive she says.....
We have a cute coffee maker Mrs Owd.
Where's DT?

... there has to be a poem rhyming sqad and pod ...
Is that like a Tassimo thing? We had one at work and it was good though annoying to use to make brews for a load of people as you can only do one at a time.

I've just got my cafetiere out again as bought myself some proper coffee as a NYE treat.

I like the pod ones but they are expensive to keep buying.

Oh, same, ratty. Mine is a Dolce Gusto, too.

sqad, I think that may be the down side. A box of pods makes 8 lattes. I'd do that in a day.
JJ...right.

As long as she makes and brings into my study at 11.am every morning, I don't care how much they cost.
Question Author
sqad ... there may be a school of thought which says that you are too pampered.

And OWD too, perhaps?

LOL
Question Author
Dave ... we need the "odd" rhyming poem.

I think cafetieres make really nice coffee, Jen. They're a pig to clean, though, and I couldn't count how many times I've broken the lips of the glass jugs while rinsing them under the tap.
JJ...no! no! no! mutual pampering...a type of symbiosis......the secret of a lasting relationship...;-)
Expensive way to make a coffee, but they work ok.

Haven't got one, use my cafetiere.
Question Author
Lol, jno ... quite nice, but Maybe a bit skinny.
jno....good God, he looks like one half of separated Siamese twin which were joined at the abdomen...
There was an old medic named sqad
Whose coffee came out of a pod
But his missus was found
Adding glass that was ground
And now he's consulting his God

< I'll get me coat >
too skinny and not enough latte perhaps? Oh well, here's a bigger built one

Sqad, the muscles are for grinding coffee beans between.

dave....oi!.......less of the old........;-)
Not for me....much too skinny.
jno

\\\\Sqad, the muscles are for grinding coffee beans between. \\\

My "grinding muscles are not in that position...............
Arrrgghhh....The first one obviously. Chirpy today Dave.
