My lab is behaving very strange lately she tends to get frantic and upset if we go out she wont eat or sometimes wont drink while we are gone, she is fine during the day when we are at work, but if we go out at night she wont eat, we just got back after a couple of days break my sister was house sitting she was walked fed and left plenty of water, last night she was sick about six times through the night, i guessed either she didnt drink enough water while we were away and got dehydrated but could be wrong, dont know why but shes becoming more and more insecure lately. she has always been well treated and loved so I cant figure out why this might be any ideas?

I think she may be ill and need to see the vet, must be some reason for the sudden change of behaviour especially the being sick, I cant imagine the dog not drinking, or being sick from not drinking.

I agree, your first move must be to rule out any physical reason for this change in behaviour. Some illnesses can cause mental alterations, so a thorough check up is in order. If she is some pain, this can also affect behaviour.

thanks, she seems fine today and is eating drinking normally she seems to only get like that if we are away which isnt very often, going to ring vet later to see what she thinks.thanks for your answers.
