after mentioning my old feral cat in a couple of posts on sqads thread about his cat , just to let you know she had some sort of episode yesterday on the yard , think it was probably a stroke as her back end was very weak and she wasnt really with it , i put her in her bed and covered her with a blanket, she curled up and went to sleep and didnt awake again , so a nice end for her but a bit of a shock for me

I am sorry to hear this, as you say a nice end for her. xx
She had a nice peaceful ending to her life. You took care of her. Well done to you.
I'm so sorry, ruthann. It's always hard when you loose a pet, feral visitor or not.

But, what a lovely way to go. I hope I'm that lucky when my time comes.
So sad but, at least she went nice and peacefully and you didn't have to make THAT decision.
Bless her, ruthann - that's the best way to go. RIP Rosie x
I am really sorry to hear that. Ir is heartbreaking when you say goodbye to a friend. I had a cat for 12 years and I had to get him put to sleep a few years back. I really feel for you. I am sure you have got many happy memories
It's nice to hear (although, of course, sad as well) when a cat is able to die naturally, rather than being put down. One of cats was clearly 'on his last legs' but the vet said that he wasn't suffering and, if I chose, he could be allowed to die naturally. He spent his last couple of weeks checking out his territory and then finally curled up on my knee to die.
Awww how sad, but what a nice way to go, curled up in your bed covered with a blanket.
Awwwww hugs. And what a peaceful ending. In her own bed. What more could we ask for?

She was clearly loved. x
I'm sorry to hear about Rosie - but it is nice to hear that she just went for a long sleep.

My last cat had a couple of fits before I had him put to sleep - he was going senile (and was blind) and the fits really freaked both of us out.

:-) x

ruthann I'm also so sorry, my prudie also died suddenly at home recently and I've just picked up her ashes tonight. It hurts like hell but I found it a comfort, and hope you do too, that she went in her own home. Hugs to you.
sorry to hear that, she was obviously very loved and had a brilliant life
Chris - that must have been hard to handle, but lovely for the cat x
Sorry to hear that ruthann but you did right by her and she went peacefully.
I lost Fred last week, he was 35y. He would come indoors to find me.

ruthann, Prudie and Chris - bless you for taking care of them in their lifetimes. It is such a sad time when they are gone.
Sorry to hear that tambo, 35 years old, thats a good innings.
Bless him, tambo.
