He likes raw carrots though and he likes spring cabbage too. He'll even eat cauliflower if it's got a cheese sauce on it. I agree that it certainly won't do any harm, providing it's introduced gradually if they're not used to it, or the effects are counteracted with a bone, a raw egg or something. It can only be good for them really. In the wild, dogs supplement their diet with grass and other 'vege' elements.
One thing I do NOT agree with though is people who force their opinions onto their dogs and make them into vegetarians because they are not naturally vegetarians, hence their carnivore teeth. Besides, they enjoy it. Let's face it, if you tried explaining to Bruno the Boxer that the poor moo-cows will have to die in order for him to eat, do you really think he's going to care?
I have been doing alot of research into this, and I have read many websites and talked to lots of vets, and grapes are not good for dogs they can cause kidney failure. It is something about the way their system tries to digest it. But other fruits, like apples , bananas, melon, berries ect... are okay
