I honestly think that the only thing you can do is get her to a vet asap, if that is possible.  Fits can be caused by all sorts of things and there is nothing unfortunately that you can personally do for her. It is so good that you are concerned.  I hope she can be helped. x

Hi PaulnCarole - I'm so sorry to hear about 'your' stray cat - poor thing.

We once had a little tabby cat named Timothy, who started to have fits shortly after we aquired him at 8 weeks old. It was so distressing to watch him fitting, then coming round all disorientated.

We took him to the vet who prescribed tablets, but he still went on to have the fits. Eventually, the Vet said it would be kinder to put Timmy to sleep. This broke our hearts, but of course it was the kindest thing to do.

This may not be the case with your stray cat, but it's best to be on the safe side. Good luck. -x-

Thanks to you both for your replies - I guess I am just prolonging the inevitable, but I have grown so fond of her over the years.
You're very welcome PaulnCarole - I'll be thinking of you.
