Frontline - not the spot on but the spray which is only available from vets or on prescription from online pharmacies.

Thank you Lankeela, despite Stronghold-ing a while back we seem to have an infestation of fleas - I spent ages going through her coat with a flea comb, and got lots off, and am now washing and spraying everything in sight! I shall get her some Frontline and hope that works for her. Our back garden resembles a hay field at present - the lawn mower is waiting to be mended, so I presume that is where she's picking the fleas up from.
I never use as much as they recommend, just spray a couple of times along the back and sides and massage it in. It kills on contact, whereas a lot of the spot on treatments only eggs from hatching and don't kill the present ones. This is why I believe some people claim fleas have become immune to Frontline! You can also spray it on a rubber or latex glove and wipe them down. Do it outside and never leave them shut in anywhere for a couple of hours after spraying though, and watch for any reaction as in very rare cases they can react to it - one of my friends dogs went into a sort of spasm for a couple of minutes.

Thanks very much, Lankeela, I'll try that with her.
