Just another immigrant scare story from The Mail.
The people who died, died from an allergic reaction to the wasp sting. That reaction is what kills people who die from being stung by our native wasps and bees. Can't see that this immigrant, if it ever reaches us, is any more dangerous therefor than what we already have.
I'm never going to complain about our UK wasps again !
I've been stung by an ordinary hornet in the past, and it hurt like mad, so what a swarm of monster hornets could do to you does not bear thinking about! When I visited my friend on Wednesday, she told me that she had seen an enormous hornet the day before (she lives in the country) so I hope that it's not the forerunner, sent on to do a recce on the UK!
