I just held my breath for 30 seconds whilst I ran (walked, actually) to the coffee-machine; I didn't die.

Leopards don't run much. They usually ambush their prey, often by jumping out of a tree.

Cheetahs however, can run faster than any other land animal. At top speed it may reach 60mph but only for a few hundred yards. The american pronghorn is the second fastest land animal but can keep going at speed for miles so is faster over distances over one mile.
