I have a 3 year old female pitx that doesnt have a mean bone in her body. she has it made in the shade. but sometimes she just doesnt want to listen. any suggestions?

Dogs need a leader if they don't have one then they will take the job, and you apparently don't like her leadership skills, ie.. not listening. If she has been getting away with everything and getting all things handed to her with out her doing anything for it, then she has now been leader for that many months or years. It is now a habit. To take her off her queen throne, you will need to become leader. But caution, she may not give up her throne so easily. Try to find a training school that teaches with positive reinforcement techniques, because it needs to be done gently. They should be able to teach you to get her to focus on you, and the rule of "nothing in life is free". Let me know how it goes....
