He's off his food, he's got diarrhoea and doesn't want to play ball.

No other symptoms.

He's had tummy trouble on and off for a fortnight or so, but he's always been predisposed to it.

What he passed yesterday was light brown / grey in colour.

Any thoughts?

I'm not too sure what the colour of his poo means. Its probably connected to ...ermm..transit time in his gut.
Sally is also predisposed to runny poos...she had a bad time last spring...picking up who knows what in the park. I changed her diet...less biscuit/grains...more raw, and plain meat plus some brown rice to help bind her. She improved a lot,but still has times when she's a bit off,or doesn't eat. I hope Alfie gets better.
I hate it when the symptoms are vague. I always feel like a neurotic mother when I am at the vet. How old is Alfie?

Thanks Pasta.

The vet advised less dry (biscuit) food and more meat. I've implemented those changes but he's been funny since.

I love the little bugger so much, I just hate seeing him under the weather x

Wolf, no idea. I adopted him in Spain in April '06.
Any regurgitation of food which could indicate a problem in the alimentary tract (blockage etc.)
Much sympathy No M. We all worry like hell about our dogs.

He ate just one mouthful of paella last night and brought it up again.
Can you feel down the oesophagus for possible swelling or the stomach area ditto.
My terrier had a similar problem which seemed to be sorted by brown rice and chicken, given in small amounts, but if you are concerned get him to the vet. Best wishes on an early recovery.
why is he being fed paella ?
Can't help NoM, but hoping Alfie is ok xx
I hope Alf gets better soon.

Hi NoM. I hope Alf gets much better soon. Keep us informed . xx
Take him back to the vet, NoM - and lay off the paella, he may be used to it but it's not suitable for a dicky tummy.
Hi NoM, I hope Alfie has rallied and is feeling better this morning x

He left me 2 big presents on the kitchen floor this morning but regained his appetite shortly afterwards.
That's good news, hopefully it was just a stomach bug that sorted itself out.
Question Author
Further diarrhoea this evening with mucousy blood in it.

Taking him to vets now.
