What Fish Can I Mix With Others In A Coldwater Fish Tank?

What fish can I mix with others in a coldwater fish tank? I have a 25ltr coldwater fish tank and so far have 5 danios, 3 zebra and 2 leopard which was advised by the pet shop. I would like some more colourful fish to add.

Do you mean cold by no heater at all? I'd go back and ask a reputable aquatics shop. Tends to be the more bright the fish the more tropical their origin and they will need a heater.

25 litres is a tiny tank... I reckon you're already maxed out with the 10 fish you already have.

Danios are fine ni a coldwater tank, as long as it's not too cold- think more room temperature and they're fine with that.

as Snaggles has already said, I wouldn't put any more fish in there, it sounds slightly over stocked as it is.

Was your tank water cycled before you added the inhabitants? If not, prepare for causalities.

Your danios will do much better if you add a heater set at 24°. Then you can add say 4 neon tetras for added colour. A small submersible pump will help to keep the water clear. Replace 10% of the water with fresh water every week.

9 small fish in such a small tank would look quite nice. Just don't overstock.

Thank you all for your answers have taken all your advise on board and don't worry I will look after my fish. I did have tropical for a while and they did well but the tank was too big for us to manage now due to health and age!!
