Admittedly a rare occurrence but would it change your mind about keeping feline pets?

No, as long as the cat has been kept up with all their injections, etc., then there is no problem with becoming a slave to the feline of the house.
^^ I concur Nibble
No. I'm getting a kitten soon.
Nope ,not in the slightest.

No, it certainly wouldn't change my mind. I dislike them intensely.
I am not sure that one can vaccinate a cat against bovine TB.......but I may stand corrected.

Cat TB and it's transmission to humans IS increasing and needs to be carefully monitored.... especially with feral cats.

No, at the moment, ir would not change my mind about owning a cat.
you an catch more diseases from a poorly chosen sexual partner and I don't see anybody giving them up any time soon!
The chances of catching TB from a cat appear remote in the extreme and I would definitely still keep one if my wife told me to. I think we need to keep a sense of perspective - this story seems tailor-made for the Daily Mail.
"I would definitely still keep one if my wife told me to"

Can see who wears the trousers in that marriage! LOL
Boo. Don't jump to conclusions. I wouldn't keep a cat from personal choice because I think they are boring animals, but I'm happy to have one because my wife likes them. It works in reverse with our dog.
R4 this morning reported ONE confirmed case, and a contact being investigated.
Not too scary eh?
it was a joke CJ, no offence meant :-)
^If the cat gets it's way, then then the feline definately would wear the trousers as soon as it "sorts" our your problems, as seen from its perspective. :)
well the pussy gave the owner bovine (cow) TB
and you can get it other ways
I mean do you think you should massacre all the badgies because they carry bovine TB ?

big problem in the fifties - but we all got BCG
so the message seems to be get BCG and then cuddle-a-cat !

thanks for the link - I wasnt sure if this was Myco. felis wh I hadnt er heard of.

Oh in pussy-goo TB, you get the lesion along the vertebra because that is the part of the feline lung that is least perfused part of their lung
( ours is at the top whcih is where we get apical lesions )
I just felt I had to share that
Dont kiss a cat - according to the tee-vee vet

if in doubt- blame the patient
Boo. No offence was taken. I just don't want people thinking I like cats!
Question Author
I saw a picture of someone kissing a dog just the other day. Knowing where their mouths get that seemed risky and in bad taste.
sandy......did the dog complain?
Question Author
It pulled a face and wiped its lips with the back of a paw but didn't say anything.
