This is an interesting story and has been featured on quite a few news websites.
I don't think this proves the shark was eaten, rather, the tracking device was eaten, which could have occurred in some altercation between the shark and another sea creature. I think it's pushing it to suggest that it's proof of the existence of some unknown superpredator. Media URL: http://www.wimp.com/ateshark/

If the tracking device was eaten how did it end up on the beach?
could have been a pod of killer whales that ate it, there is no evidence that it was eaten by only one large creature.

The question arises from the data given out by the tag. A sudden drop down 2000ft and the a rise in temperature to nearly 80 F suggesting being internal in a large animal. Orcas attack sharks on the surface, either it was taken by something larger ( a bigger great white was suggested) or perhaps the tag was displaced but it probably wouldn't drop suddenly, or the orca took a bite including the tag and dived. Will we ever know?
sharks aren't warm blooded whereas orcas are, however 200 metres seems to be their maximum depth. Still a puzzle but I'm inclined to rule out a previously undetected monster.
White sharks are in a group of sharks (lamnid) that have a heat exchange system, farming heat from their long side muscles. This enables them to have a body temperature some 15C above the surrounding temperature. This could bring the digestive track very close to the temperature recorded
