Ah, I'm with you now. The coal scuttle is an antique. I am not going to throw it out. It's a storage receptacle for Tilly's toys, as well as being a dark, safe home for a great big spider.
Tilly - I presume that they supply the birds. Surely if the birds have done it before they will do what they think they should do instead of waiting for you give instruction.
