Present On Doorstep

Fur baby was looking out the window at a male (I think) cat in back garden, the cat wasnt threatening, just laying out there looking in at her. Then today I opened my front door... To a dead mouse! I would like to think my fur baby has an admirer leaving her a present, it does seem strange !

Awww - sure it's not your furbaby bringing the present? If she's got an admirer, definitely time for the vet!

The cat outside will have been bringing food for the baby, it's usually a female cat that will do this. They tend to bring dead stuff first, then half dead, then fully alive. It teaches kittens to hunt.

I had a foster cat and kittens about 20 years ago and mother cat regularly brought live creatures into the house for her babies, it wasn't fun. Thankfully she is the only one of the many cats i've had that was a hunter. The two I have now, one doesn't hunt at all, the other brings sticks and feathers :-/

Maybe it was female then Daffy, bit I thought it had a blue collar. Not looking forward to half dead presents ... How funny.

One of my girl cats has a blue collar.
It might just have been a one off if you are lucky :)
