Vet Charges

How much do you pay for a consult with your cat at your vet ? ? I have a feeling we are being 'fleeced' but I'd like to see what others are paying.

My cat goes in every few weeks to have his claws clipped - they charge between £9 and £13.

£34 at mine.
I told him what I thought of his charges: when I was asking about cleaning pups umbilical cords; he said 'You could give them a wipe with some hibiscrub, I'll give you some.' He then put a squirt into a 5cl plastic bottle, diluted it from the tap and handed it to me.
When I got home and examined the invoice I found he'd charged me £6.65 for the squirt of hibiscrub and a prescription charge of £8.80......

ladybirder - the charge that I quoted is the total charge. It isn't in addition to a consultation fee.

Mayennaise, have a look if you have a Animal Trust
in your area, the 1st consultation is free and you will find the treatment is a lot cheaper than most vets.
