Forgive my ignorance here but this is sometimes what I see in online rescue sites. What exactly does it mean.

It means that, as best as anyone can tell, the dog had one parent which was a Husky or Husky mix and one who was some kind of hound or hound x, but they don't know for sure what hound.

thank you dusty - was very unsure as I did assume all dogs were hounddogs.

why is the other parent husky or husky x? I thought it just meant that one parent was hound of some sort?
According to this article...these are all hounds. So any dog with a bit of these is a hound x...I assume. ;-)
