Tadpole Advice Please--

At the beginning of June my friend's pond became home to a great many tadpoles they flourished well, swimming about with little tails flapping from side to side.
Now almost at the end of July, they are still swimming about happily, but none have any signs of legs
The pond has plenty of aquatic plants for food and does not have any fish.
The pond has always been a haven for frogs and toads for many years,and as the nights are beginning to get colder now we wondered if they are going to be under threat and die,or are they just slow developers?

I'm in the Midlands and my daughter's in Devon.....her spawn arrived much earlier than mine and developed into tadpoles earlier too.....

However, my tadpoles became froglets much earlier.....hers had yet to develop when we spoke a week ago....

Other years it's the other way around because Devon is warmer....so maybe just a funny year but your friend still has time....hope so.....a pond full of froglets is lovely....x
