Exactly so Gull or Seagull not such a big deal.

I thought the OP referred to (sea) Gulls?

off topic a bit but when I was young the trendiest arty-farty book to read was Jonathan Livingstone Seagull (not gull BTW). Who read it? the deep meaning flew over my head.

Whoosh!

I read it and still have the book, Prudie. It was a gift from a hippy boyfriend.
The media makes seagulls out be a sort-of devil bird, and because it's in the newspapers or on the tv, people believe it

Can you imagine the coast without seagulls? It wouldn't be the same, would it?
Also off topic: I live hundreds of miles from any sea, but we still call the birds hanging around Lake Ontario seagulls. You should see them flock North in the Spring when the farmers are doing their ploughing!
Also off topic ... Sea bears should be protected (imo)

The English translation of Chekov's play, Чайка, is The Seagull.

Yeah, but what did he know?
Where do we stand on Sea Slugs?

Take them with a pinch of salt.

Did you stand on them?
