Adopting animals

I'd like to adopt an animal for myself quite cheaply. The sort you pay for yearly and you get letters/pictures and stuff. Any recomendations on where i should look??

You can try the NCDL (National Canine Defence League) if you'd like to adopt a dog. I have three adopted dogs (costs around �50 a year each) and I get photos and letters and so on. They have a website so you can fill in the necessaryb paperwork online.

I did this for my daughter through the WDCS (Whales and Dolphins). Also have used the adoption services at London and Colchester zoos. All are on the web.
