Hi Babycute, I have a Bearded Dragon and they are one of the most placid reptiles, they make great pets although they can be demanding.
Depending on the dragons personality, they are easy to tame, enjoy being handled and have a great temperament. My BD takes food out of my hand, scratches on the glass when he wants to get out of his vivarium, takes weekly baths.
They are very inquisitive and seem to be quite intelligent.
Very importantly, all I would say is do plenty of research either online or by reading books and get the enclosure set up exactly right before deciding to buy one.
Good luck.

I know it's been a while since you posted this but I felt I had to add. We have three bearded dragons, one of which we hatched ourselves (2 females and one male) and I personally think they are a very good pet. Whilst they are a little skittish when they are younger, once they are used to you, by feeding them by hand and a lot of patience they are more than happy to sit with you, climb on you and be handled generally. Our male is particularly keen on human attention, generally I can get him out and sit him on my shoulder and whether I'm wandering around or just sat watching the telly he is more than happy to sit with me and take a look around, sometimes even snuggling under my neck and going to sleep. It's sometimes difficult to get him to go back in the viv!
I would recommend you do your research, buy from a reputable place and then just slowly get them used to you being around. If they're anything like my beardies they'll be easy to look after once you're used to them and happy to have your company. With no bites and no scratches! Good luck.
