Anyway, I am pleased to say that the dog's fine, looking a bit miz, as only spaniels can....four teeth out and this lump removed, that reduced to six stitches and the tumor not malignant. Bloods looking good too. So that is encouraging.
Back in 11 days to have the stitches removed, so a little more to add to the £520 bill, not as bad as I thought it would be, 750 having been my expectation.
He's now sleeping with some interesting groans, and like a lot of spaniels, with a (new) ball in his mouth, making him look like a roast pig with an apple. Probably the anaesthetic coming out, the question being to try and get him in my room to prevent any middle-of-the-night molly-coddling, which he doesn't need. He spent last night with me, (exceptionally), the idea being to beat any late night feeding and milk - however the mater wasn't up.......
So thanks, and she has behaved herself better today! My comments were a bit of a lash out at the frustration of yesterday and pixie, who knows the situation here more than most, sent a very nice e-mail to the effect of 'you are doing a good job.' Psybbs, hope your situation has improved - did reply to your e-mail and feel for you.....in many ways, worse than here!
xx
