Recently been sharing the bed with a friends cat...watching over it. Never really realised or thought cats liked to cuddle. She cuddles into me at night! Are all cats like this? Considering getting a cat...unless Felix is just a rare thing. She literally cuddles into my face at night and then when my alarm goes off.

I never thought they did. Think I'll get myself one when I'm back in the UK
where are you now ?
Like humans they are all different and have distinct personalities. I have one cat who cuddles in bed a lot although downstairs she hardly gives me the time of day. My other cat does it if she feels like it but not often. You won't know how your cat will be although allowing it to sleep on your bed as a kitten will give it a start.

Mints I'm in australia.
Damn it...I'll steal this cat then. Haha
Yes my two have always done. One won't leave my husband alone the minute he sits down In the evening - she is purring, rubbing up against him and then curls up as close as humanely possible to him with her legs up on his lap!
just remember you don't own the cat, the cat owns you lol
Do not, under any circumstances, think all cats are the same as this obvious angel you are looking after. You maybe lucky but..........
ps -Remember.........In Egypt, cats were once worshipped as Gods......they have never forgotten this.
Why don't you get one from a Sanctuary? Not only will you be doing a good deed but they may be able to give you an idea how affectionate it is.
We have 2. One cuddles the other doesn't. You only have to catch the cuddly ones eye and she'll be over.
Smoke only does it when he wants breakfast. The neighbours cat is on my lap purring like a maniac as I type.

I'm going to have a house of cats until I get my cuddling cat!!!! Sanctuary is good idea
We've got three cats. Bracken is very cuddly and likes to be tickled and fussed. Mollie is very aloof, will allow a tickle between her ears but touch her anywhere else and she will have your hand off! Tazz is my husband's cat. He likes to be on his oh's knee but his paw has to be touching his skin otherwise he's not comfortable. Three thoroughly individual felines but I wouldn't part with any of them!
When you bring a new cat into your house, take your lead from it. Stand back, sit down or just ignore it! It will show you from it's behaviour how to take the next step! Grow your relationship slowly and "with food treats"! Just to warn you though, you will be their slave and whether you like it or not, through their independent personalities, you will succumb completely:-) You will then be ruled and the house will revolve around your cat! We've had 3 cats. They all loved to cuddle up on the bed, but, our latest loves to lie right on my stomach looking down on me:-)
Some do, some don't that's the nature of cats. To enjoy their company you have to learn their body language ...if you're not prepared to do this, don't do it.
Cats normally 'get' me, and I normally 'get' them.

Oh my. I'll have to research behaviour and see if I can find my cuddling cat hahah either that or have a house of cats. Never been a cat lady until I seen this cat. It's so affectionate. Only last thing at night and 1st thing in the morning though.
Where in Oz are you?
Might be my neighbours cat ;-)
