It isn't. It also lives in Indonesia and Australia, as Prudie says.
They are poor flyers as birds go and the best ones made across some of the narrow (maybe blown there in a storm) sea channels some millions of years ago.
It is sad that most of our grandchildren will probably never be able to see these magnificent birds.
