Two robins were on my balcony railings this mornng. Robin A seemed smaller and a little less colourful than B, but B may have been puffed up. A was feeding B. Presumably A was male and this was a part of courtship behaviour?

The male does feed the female as part of the courting ritual though. Was robin A cheeping?

I think you'll find the smaller, fluffy one is a baby. We have a nest and once the babies hatch and leave the nest, they hang around for a few days before they can fly properly. There is one out there now sitting on a rock with the father robin bringing it food.

Tilly2. The window was closed so I couldn't hear anything. Hopefully, some babies in a few weeks time.
Good luck, Coppit. Get some dried mealworms in, just to be prepared. :-)
The babies are little fluffy speckled things without the red breast. If they both had a red breast they were both adults.
