My Cat Is On Her Second Litter Of Kittens Is It Normal For Her To Only Have Two When She Had Four The First Time

Ok so my cat gave birth early hours of this morning for the second litter but only two kittens have delivered I cannot feel any further kittens but she did have four kittens in her first litter

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Her first litter was august/September of last year she had the first litter 4 healthy babies but all four were backwards........this time she only seems to have had two kittens and I cannot tell if she still has any left to go or not as can't tell wether what I'm feeling is part of my cat or if it's another kitten.....she doesn't look like she's going to have any more
Well that's what I thought but when she had her first litter she delivered three of them one day and 14 hours later we had the fourth kitten.....just thought that two kittens for a second litter seemed a bit small as she looked like she had more than 2 in her before she gave birth like the size of her belly etc
All i can suggest for now is that you keep an eye on her for the time being .....puss will start to become distressed if a kitten is still there ....she'll try to give birth or there may be a discharge, and heightened temperature ....just watch for anything out of the ordinary and then as Islay says, have her spayed as soon as the vet agrees.
