we have two dogs one male and one female ,the male has been done ,the question is the female is in season and while we know the male is sterile is it OK for them to mate,I thought that once done the male would not get excited but jeeze am I wrong,she's willing and he'd doing the job any advice

I feel your pain! Have got entire dogs and bitches so its a nightmare when they are in season. However I would try to discourage your male from mating her because he could pass on infection - its an occupational hazard if you breed and some breeders insist on swabs being taken to ensure no infection present but if it can be avoided it is best done.
Forgive me for asking the most obvious question but why don't you have the *** spayed?
Replace *** with female.

from jlc&m we have no intention of ever breeding ,however we had the male done at my my insistence due to a memory of when I was about ten years old my dad had our collie spade and I had not then and have'nt since ever seen an animal in so much pain and I swore then that I would never put one of my pets through that ,and over 50 years later I have'nt
