Best Type Of Carpet

What is the best type of carpet to buy (if any) where there is a cat in the flat. I recently bought a new carpet and underlay, and my torty has been digging it up daily like there was no tomorrow. I know cats are prone to this but this was extraordinarily constant to the extreme. She hasn't done it to the other carpets in the flat and I'm wondering if it was the type of carpet.
Any advice to be had out there.
