Kong Wobbler

Does anyone have one of these for their dog?
We bought one on the advice of my cousin who has two very small dogs which really love this wobbly thing.
Our dog seems a little afraid of it, ok, so we've only had it two days, but I'm really not sure how to teach him to get the most out of it.
Any ideas?

Is that the one that you put treats in? If so I have them for mine and it took a few days but the treats helped and they love them now

Yes it is, Islay.
If I kick it so it dispenses treats, he'll take notice and eat the treats, but seems at a loss as to doing it himself.
Maybe I'm asking too much, too soon. I think he's a wimp ;)

It's huge, and I think therein lies part of the problem.
Having done a bit of googling I've only just realised they come in different sizes, this was the only one they had in our local pets R us place.
My cousins dogs are really small but have this gigantic one so I just assumed that was the only one they did.

Try him with the ones we use and then put the giant one back into play

He has one of those Islay, a small one, and loves it. We too stuff it with tasty bits, peanut butter being a particular favourite.
This wobbler is just a bit smaller than, say, a four pint milk container. It's probably just a bit intimidating for him till he gets used to it. I'm just not sure how we can get him to wobble it himself, to get the treats to fall out of the hole.

Small cubes of cheese seem to be doing the trick, he's getting the hang of pushing it over with his nose and isn't so wary of it.

I'd never noticed them either Tilly, until we were at my cousins and she showed me how her two very small dogs really love theirs.
Our pup has just had a mad moment in the garden, dashing round and round..then come in and put his muddy footprints all over the hall carpet. He's not been too well so it's good to see him with some energy, and the mud will vacuum off when it's dry, I hope!
