I certainly wouldn't recommend pet shop products - as well as being pretty ineffective in comparison to the prescription treatments a vet can provide, it's pretty unwise to use a product on your pet when it isn't under veterinary supervision. I have seen animals made very sick by their owners inadvertantly using overdoses or combinations of over the counter medication which was sold to them without any proper guidance or advice. At least with Frontline you can always call up the vet with any questions!
bob martins stuff can be very dangerous have seen several cats have a bad reaction to it. can cause ataxia and even seizures.
vets have to have seen your animal within the last 12-18mths to prescribe frontline. as it is a pom drug (prescription only medicine) they are breaking the law if they just sell it you ovet the counter.
