At what age does the cere adopt it's adult colour. Also should you keep one in a cage or more.

Around 3/4 weeks for most types is when the cere colour is pronounced enough to tell.
They are flocking birds so they like company but then they rarely copy human speech. They get their adult cere around 6 months according to mum who used to breed them bit if it has a lilac tone already it will usually turn blue i.e male.
That a new word for me! Cere!
Get two for company and as large a cage as humanely possible. I feel sorry for budgies trapped in small cages. They should be let out for a fly round as well.
