Electronic Cat Repellers

Has anybody used one of these and if so did they work? All a sudden we seem to be plagued by cats, I'm sure every bloody one on the estate has decided that our garden is the place to be,so any advice would be welcome as I've been informed I've not to even think about getting the gun out and terminating them once and for all. It will probably be this evening before I look in again as we're of visiting so T.I.A for any advice.

The best electronic cat repeller I've ever used is called a taser.

The best cat repeller is to have a big, stroppy, neutered tom cat of your own.
Ours (now deceased) did not allow any invaders of any description in our garden.

The reviews are hit and miss - cats hate citrus so scatter round the garden orange and lemon peel.
Water pistols are a harmless detterent or you could get a lovely big neutered Tom to keep them at bay

a neighbour had one which he used more for its nuisance value. whether it kept cats at bay I have no idea but it disrupted sleep patterns for months until Environmental Health tracked down the perpetrator and threatened them with legal action.....

You need chicken siht cats don’t like the smell
Go into Wilko they do a 7kg tub of Poultry Manure Pellets for £5 spread liberally, the added bonus is free manure

Actually we had cats and chickens and they loved laying in the coops with the chickens - I had hear lion poop was supposed to work!

My in-laws had electronic ones that seemed to be 90% effective - the noise was really irritating though.
Water pistols only work if you sit there on guard all day!

We’ve got a couple in different areas of the garden and they seem to work. Neither of us hear them either but we have had the odd visitor (human) who has heard them.

Heard good reports of this plant - Coleus canina known as 'Scaredy Cat Plant'. Can only be smelt by humans if touched.

My neighbours have tried electronic cat repellers. My four cats (and plenty of others) don't even seem to notice them.

Thanks everybody for your imput. I've been down the water route and found it very effective,I used a power wash on a needle jet and when we had Max (see avatar) he wouldn't have a cat within a 100yds let alone actually on the grounds but now we cant move fast enough to catch the bloody things so we'll just have to keep trying different ways

A power wash on needle jet? Are you joking? I thought you wanted to scare them away not maim or kill them. Not funny and if you're serious I hope you get reported.
