She’s been dribbling like mad for a few days and not eating, so took her to vet this eve. She can’t be 100% without a biopsy but showed me a swelling/mass under her tongue. Am so upset.

I tried the fish thing last night, she sniffed it like mad but didn’t eat it. Don’t know whether it’s purely because she is in pain and scared to eat.
could be the other thing to try is sloppy scrambled egg with milk
Smow, I would phone the vet/vet nurse and ask for advice if I were you. Poor thing is obviously starving and worse, thirsty, and will be dehydrated. It doesn't sound as if the jabs etc have improved her distress at all??
Mass under her tongue....massive wight loss...unable to eat.
These are all indications of malignant disease.
If she belonged to me, I would end her suffering by taking her to the vet and asking him/her to have her euthanised.
Same as Ladybirder. I feel so sad about it. Can you hold her and maybe put some drops of water in her mouth? Hope all can be resolved soon for her. X

She looks really perky today, that’s the funny thing. Also I’ve never ever seen her drink anything in 13 years - she doesn’t touch her water bowl, she must get water from outside.
Often cats will go outside and eat grass to make themselves sick.
It is now 7.5 hours since I heard how Pepper was doing. Can I please have an update Smow. Pretty please?
Love her, cuddle her, talk gently to her. Don’t bother her with food she doesn’t want.

Say your loving farewells, and take her back to the kind vet.

Gentle ‘sleep’ is the very best thing you can do for her.

That sounds a bit drastic bb. It might be only bad teeth so best to rule that out first don't you think?
It's been 24 hours now so I was hoping Smow would have answered.
I know Sqad's not a vet (although he is 'our' medic), but to quote him "Mass under her tongue....massive weight loss...unable to eat.
These are all indications of malignant disease."

If the vet Smowball goes to agrees, then kindness dictates only one path.

We've been there several times, i.e. trying our very best to keep a dear cat going, but our experience has been that it in such circumstances it doesn't end well.

I only wish people were treated as kindly as we (eventually) treat our dear animals.

Pepper, Smowball, you have my very deepest sympathy.
