It's dipped lower than normal causing this rain and in many cases flooding, we've got the Athletics on from Poland and it looks lovely and warm there, so are they unaffected by this 'ere Gulf Stream ?

Should that be JET STREAM ?
Question Author
Well spotted, Jet Stream it is then, haha
My friend has no idea what they're talking about Davebro ;0/
The Gulf Stream is a warm current in Atlantic Ocean. It influences the weather on the east coast of the USA and the west coast of Europe. Poland is quite a way from the west coast of Europe. Are you getting confused with the Jet Stream(s)?

Yes, an oversight NJ, I must check before pressing ' send'
If you were the weather girl on TV Bobbs I wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about either. :) :)
Question Author
Haha, I think I'll stick to retirement TC
Butbin a nutshell Poland's bliddy hot and we aren't
WHY?
( for a friend you understand ) :0)
Ah!

The Jet Streams (there's more than one) slither about all the time. The last time I flew to the Caribbean our route took us over Newfoundland and down the east coast of the USA because it avoided the polar jet stream and was quicker (although further) than heading directly across the Atlantic. The polar Jet Stream has an influence on UK and western Europe weather and it effects where in Europe Atlantic weather systems make landfall.
I think your friend would be better getting another friend, but anyhow tell her its something to do with the sun, ( you know the sun) :)
Going on your last post, have you had the brandy bottle out this afternoon? :)

I'm empathising, Bobbie. :-)
I don't think the 'blip' is in the Gulf stream, its in your house at the moment, I would go and have a lie down, I know I need one after this post, and may be come back later when refreshed. :))
Sadly a jet stream is just a memory these days, even with a lager assist. :-)

Oh Nooooo. She is my pride and joy and I regularly get her serviced. Avionics, Engines and Airframe etc. I suppose I will have to ask my neighbour for a loan of theirs for my hols at Sandals. :-(
Did you mean a soda stream Douglas? :o)
Bloody hell looks like everyone's been on the bottle today. :))
How astute of you teacake. Just got in from my daily sojourn to the local. My usual 'foaming nut brown meths' had a blip in it so have come home early to broach my reserves. :-)
