Fireworks freak out animals. NHS workers do not need to be shown appreciation with rockets, bangers, etc. Grrrrr

Anyone actually heard any fireworks??? Just saucepan lids and car horns in my road.
Nope
I got two bangers, my ould bytch headed straight for the door.
There were coloured fireworks last week too.
I heard fireworks.
they are happening in places including an arranged "no attendance" HA! display by a skip firm and a rugby club in the midlands. The actual pyrotechnics organisations who have been campaigning against firework control have said no firework use at this time, NHS hospitals and staff have been saying please don't and still the asshats do it.
We heard fireworks on the western outskirts of Reading.
Fireworks (albeit briefly) here in Burnley, too.
Lots of fireworks round by me. My nurse neighbour isn't happy because it upsets her dogs
That’s ironic.
Just one very loud one here before the clapping started. I don't think people will stop.
None here
None here either. Nice to see neighbours in distance, almost forgot what they looked like.

Hi Bobbs.
Have heard fireworks, but not clapping. But my women says "the whole street were at it". Have my doubrs, but in any case, it must be my hearing, as I never heard a thing. She seems worried we're the "only" ones not doing it, but I said I was no sheep to follow daft behaviour because of peer pressure, I have more sense and decorum. I'm not going to play at seals to please others. It achieves nothing useful, and nor does the fireworks for that matter. One expects foreigners to do such things but one grew up believing that the British were above this sort of nonsense. It's been a rather unfortunate realisation that many aren't after all. But stiff upper lip and all that, ignore it, stay calm, carry on.
...doubts...
There were a couple in my neighbourhood. Not necessary and clapping is sufficient.
Hi Sparklykid
How are they buying these fireworks during lock down/.
Was out clapping last night when someone fairly close by let off two rockets. I was nearly knocked off my feet by two of our cats who appeared from nowhere and charged indoors.
