I Think Lola Has A Flea Bite Inside Her Thigh

She's scratching a lot and when I've looked she's pulling away, there appears to be a small reddish laceration there, any suggestions on what I can use t treat it? I've sprayed her with flea repellent but don't want to spray her so near her delicate bits

It is, I'll follow BMs link and get stuff tomorrow also bathe part with salt water that's been boiled and cooled

Do you have any pirotin or similar in your medical cabinet, best thing ever to keep in for insect bites in dogs

If you give anti histamine it has to be chlorphenamine maleate. The newer antihistamines are not safe for dogs.

Yes MM, I'll give her a half tonight , we've just done a saltwater bathe on her ,she was really good bless her, thanks for that , that'll hopefully stop her itching

I did the saltwater bathing and I bought the antihistamine, she's not scratched much today so with everyone's invaluable help here we may have saved ourselves a vets bill

She's quite content lying next to Mr B on the sofa whereas last couple of nights she's kept jumping down to scratch herself
