The World's Ugliest Dog, shown here ...has passed away!

...and here is the dog, Sam (a Chinese Crested w/ many helth issues), on a talk show with the owner.

Sad...but oh my stars, that's an ugly dog!!!

I was sat here thinking......oh how could anyone think that about a dog?????

Then I opened the links.....Yea Gods.....it's got a face only it's mother could have loved hasnt it?

Actually the more I look at, it bears a striking resemblance to Spike from Gremlins.

BOO:

Sam had tumors (not painful, just ugly), he had blakheads, acne, dental problems (as you can see), he had hair growth issues (he was balding), and for some reason, he had mis-grown nails that looked like claws...as well as being overweight...

He passed due to slow heart failure at the age of 15.

oh that's ok then. I didnt like the thought he was in pain and his owner was hawking him round talk shows. Im such a softy!

oh and of course, the eyes are duu to cataracts in his old age...no, his owner loved him very much, believe it or not!

OMG!!!! I was thinking the exact thing BOO (hi btw), that is has a face only a mother could love!!
I am sure that he was a lovely dog none the less!!
Truly was the ugliest dog in the world!! Bless him!

Hann,we had seen pictures of this wee pet before,and my husband thought he was so great,he kept his picture beside his desk.He was really sad to hear he had died...Honest.

He had quite a long life in the circumstances - so glad he had a loving owner. So many people only want 'pretty' animals. I have several rescued cats and dogs and have taken in animals for the past 30 years. I must admit to taking the unfortunate looking ones in preference to the cuties.

And - yes, he was certainly very ugly, bless him!!
