He's still hiding ummmm...so I don't know. That's why I thought the laser to start...
I'll eventually follow shoota's advice and get both if he seems so inclined.
Mine love empty cardboard boxes, little balls, anything that falls on the floor, knocking over the pen pot, feet under the duvet. Feather on a string you can hang it so he can hit it when he walks past. Maybe a cat tower so he can be up high, some have toys attached.
By all means buy something so it's there when he's ready, but I'd leave him be until he's out of the corner of his own volition.
Maybe if you placed a cardboard box a little way out of the corner, you might find he's in it tomorrow morning.
With a new cat I would lean towards a feather or other toy because there will be interaction between you and the cat and he can come to associate you with fun. He won't do that with a laser light.
I've ordered the feathery toy. Will probably leave it dangling off the table or something so he gets used to it.
I found a large enough box...it had the dog toys in it. :(
I wouldn’t worry too much about toys at this stage Pasta, just leave him to go along at his own pace - do you talk to him all the time - so he knows where you are and when you’re going to enter his room - it’s going to take a couple of weeks at least but he’s eating & toileting so that’s half the battle - he looks a real sweetie :)
