I was supposed to go out tonight but circumstances changed so I settled for a night in. I'm not a great tv watcher anymore, due to it (in my opinion) being mostly garbage but I came across 'The hidden wilds of the Motorway' on BBC2. This is obviously a matter of taste but to me it was an hour and a half of pure heaven and fascination.
Ok I know somebody will say it's no longer the *natural* world but nevertheless if you're interested in this sort of thing I highly recommend watching it.
Just my opinion of course!

I agree, Helen MacDonald is a very engaging presenter, and has done a few similar programmes. Her book 'H is for Hawk' is worth a read, too.

I saw one of these programmes last year about the area round the M25, it was fabulous.

Sounds interesting actually, and I agree - the amount of evenings I struggle to find anything vaguely interesting to watch!!
