Surolan Causing Greasy/Waxy/Oily Coating On Dogs Fur Round Ears And Neck

My elderly dog was on a course of Surolan ear drops for her ears. It cleared the problem up very well, however the fur around her head/ears/neck is now quite oily/greasy/waxy. We tried putting her in the shower which is how we would usually wash her. But she has dementia now and it immediately caused her too much distress to continue.
I don't really know if the greasiness is from the medication or loosened/diluted waxyness from her ears.
So what I would like to know is if anyone else has had this issue after using Surolan and if so what you used to clean the fur afterwards.
Thanks.

I'm out of my depth here but Mr Google can't find any web pages which suggest that your dog's problem is a side effect of using Surolan for her ears.

However, as far as cleaning her fur goes, this might be worth considering:

Thanks.
If she has further problems with ears, I would thoroughly recommend using Thornit, which is a powder and you just put a pinch in each ear and leave it. It can also be used in between toes if they have sores there. You can order it online and its only about five or six quid for a small bottle which lasts for ever.
Thornit is around a tenner now, which shows how long it lasts!
